As a staff lawyer you will be specialised in one or more legal areas. You will also work within a sector team. We offer staff lawyers the opportunity to take additional specialisation programmes. You can also spend a month in an international internship at one of the offices of the Parlex Group of European Lawyers. Getting to know one another
We regularly organise informal getting-acquainted gatherings for students at our office. Would you like to get to know us better? If so, sign up for one such informal gathering. You can enrol in a (paid) student internship at our legal firm. The internship lasts two months. As a student intern at Kneppelhout, you work a full schedule at our office. You will accompany us to hearings and meetings with clients. You will also assist with research into jurisprudence, as well as taking notes and compiling case documents. You will participate in internal training, office lunches, drinks and other social events. In this way, you will gain a clear picture of daily practice in the legal profession and the demands that are placed on a (beginning) lawyer. During your internship, an intern coordinator supervises you. He or she will introduce you to everyone at the firm and supervise the progress of your internship. We will endeavour to place you in the office of a lawyer so that you can experience what goes on every day in the practice of law as much as possible. The internship is concluded with a written assessment.We are always on the lookout for ambitious students who are in the final phase of their study of Dutch Law and who would like to get to know our firm. Job openings for support staff
The legal secretary provides secretarial and administrative support to our lawyers. You would play a part in serving our clients in an optimal manner. Your duties would include producing final copies of correspondence, case documents and agreements. When the occasion arises, you would be the first point of contact for our clients. To be a legal secretary, you must have completed the study programme MBO secretarieel/Schoevers or a similar programme successfully. You should be (very) fluent in Dutch and English and know all the ins and outs of Microsoft Office. You should also be versatile, smartly dressed, friendly in conversation and confident, as well as know how to work hard and get things accomplished.
