Apprentice Lawyer

If you work as an apprentice lawyer at Kneppelhout, you will be working in a professional, inspiring environment in which everyone knows each other. You will meet clients from the Netherlands and abroad. You will have your own set of responsibilities and there will be room for personal development. You will be supervised by committed lawyers. As an apprentice lawyer, in addition to possessing excellent legal qualities, we expect you to have an enterprising attitude and good communication skills (both verbal and written). If so, send us a letter describing your motivation for the job, along with your CV, transcript of marks and student-intern assessments to solliciteren @kneppelhout.nl to the attention of Sandra Schuiling or Marjolein Boer.

Staff Lawyer

As a staff lawyer you will be specialised in one or more legal areas. You will also work within a sector team. Because you not only specialise in a particular legal area, but also focus on what is going on within that sector, you are the right discussion partner for the client. You think beyond the legal context alone and you anticipate changes in the sector that could have an impact on your clients. We offer staff lawyers the opportunity to take additional specialisation programmes. You can also spend a month in an international internship at one of the offices of the Parlex Group of European Lawyers. As a staff lawyer, in addition to having excellent legal qualities, you must also have a commercial outlook, empathy and good communication skills (both verbal and written) – which will make you a strategic discussion partner for your client. If it does, send us a letter describing your motivation for the job, along with your CV, transcript of marks, student-intern assessments and any references to solliciteren @kneppelhout.nl to the attention of Sandra Schuiling or Marjolein Boer.

Getting to know one another

We regularly organise informal getting-acquainted gatherings for students at our office. Would you like to get to know us better? If so, sign up for one such informal gathering. It will give us a chance to tell you more about our firm and answer all of your questions directly! You can sign up via solliciteren@kneppelhout.nl. We will then contact you to make an appointment.

Student Internship

You can enrol in a (paid) student internship at our legal firm. The internship lasts two months. As a student intern at Kneppelhout, you work a full schedule at our office. You will accompany us to hearings and meetings with clients. You will also assist with research into jurisprudence, as well as taking notes and compiling case documents. You will participate in internal training, office lunches, drinks and other social events. In this way, you will gain a clear picture of daily practice in the legal profession and the demands that are placed on a (beginning) lawyer. During your internship, an intern coordinator supervises you. He or she will introduce you to everyone at the firm and supervise the progress of your internship. We will endeavour to place you in the office of a lawyer so that you can experience what goes on every day in the practice of law as much as possible. The internship is concluded with a written assessment. We are always on the lookout for ambitious students who are in the final phase of their study of Dutch Law and who would like to get to know our firm.
